Budding Technologists in Year 7 are preparing for their regional race in the National Bloodhound Microbit competition in June.
Students will be designing, making and racing their rocket powered cars against other schools across the region. Not only will the cars have a need for speed but the students will program their on-board BBC Microbit computers to record acceleration data and transfer this via Bluetooth to race timing as the cars pass at more than 100mph.
