Mr Russell Rustled and then Rescued!

The second week of the school holidays was very eventful at CRGS. We were lucky enough to be joined by 42 primary school students who were enthusiastically trained as forensic scientists. Their new found skills proved useful when they learned that Mr Russell had been kidnapped from the sunken gardens. Fingerprinting, chromatography and powder analysis were put to good effect as students collected and analysed evidence. With CCTV footage and interviews with Mr Mountain (Site Manager) and Mrs Maryan (Finance) adding to the information available to our investigators, students were able to put together a case that they presented to Inspector Drake (Essex Police) and then later that they tested in a mock trial and forensic presentations to parents. The students proved highly talented and hardworking and we are relieved that their investigations led to the safe return of the headmaster. What staff were most impressed by with this group of students however, was their team spirit and ability to make new friends in this fun but action packed week. Well done to everyone that took part!
