The President of the Old Colcestrian Society, Sean Bunch, took part in the ceremony at the Colchester war memorial on Remembrance Sunday, together with soldiers, civic leaders, veterans, cadets, youth groups and thousands of residents. He laid a wreath in memory of the staff and pupils of CRGS who have given their lives for their country in war. Several Old Colcestrians also returned to the school on Friday 11th November for the Armistice Day ceremony. With the whole school assembled on the close, together with staff and students, the President read out the names of some of our war dead. Afterwards, OCs joined staff and students in planting seven metal poppies in the school remembrance garden in memory of those who were killed at around this time 100 years ago during the First World War.
