Old Colcestrians and Students' Dinner, Rugby and Netball

The Old Colcestrian Society's annual dinner was held in the school hall on Saturday 17th December. There were 164 members and guests present. Younger members have increasingly supported the dinner in recent years - 40% of those present on Saturday had left school in the last 10 years, and many 2016 leavers attended.

Guests included the Chairman of Governors, Headmaster, Mr Chambers, Dr Stimson, Mr Murray, the School Captain and members of the rugby and netball teams. Speeches were delivered by the President of the OCS, the Headmaster and the School Captain, Chloe Stevens, whose outstanding report received a standing ovation.

During the afternoon, the OCS President’s teams narrowly defeated the Headmaster’s teams at both rugby and netball. Despite the cold and fog, an impressive number of supporters turned out for both matches. The school will have the chance to get their own back when they play the OCs at cricket in the summer.
