The Professor Geoffrey Martin Historical Essay Prize Cup

Congratulations to Dan Ruben and Bill Anderson-Samways who were presented with the Prize Cup and a book for their winning entries in an assembly before the Christmas break. Dan’s entry, on America and freedom, and Bill’s winning essay on science, discovery and the modern world can both be read in full in the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Colcestrian.

This year’s competition is on the subject of revolutions to tie in with the centenary of the Russian revolution. Our thanks go to Colonel Richard Kemp OC for purchasing the fine trophy, which is engraved with the names of the winning students and which will go on display in the reception area of the school.
