D&T Bottles: Raising Funds for Extracurricular Projects
Posted On: 15/11/17
Following last year’s successful sale of branded Kilner bottles, we have decided to source other types of ceramic and glass bottles. The 2017 range allows for a variety of products to be stored and dispensed in both the kitchen and bathroom.
On offer this year are the Westerwald ceramic crocks - ideal for cooking ingredients such as oils, vinegar, salt and sugar. These help to get rid of those unsightly plastic containers whilst keeping the ingredients close to hand. The crocks are fully glazed inside and out and are impervious to light, making them ideal for preserving oil, etc. The crocks are available in both a 500ml and 700ml size. In the Technology Department, we can personalise them to order for an extra £2. The bottles are supplied as standard with a solid wood and synthetic cork stopper. However, we can supply stainless steel pouring spouts for £2 each.
In addition to the crocks, we are offering good quality glass bottles. This includes the ‘Contessa Decanter’ (which is perfect for spirits), a tall pouring bottle ‘Contessa’ for flavoured chilli oil, and lastly a pharmacy-style bottle called ‘Antica Farmacia’ - ideal for kitchen or bathroom use. As with the crocks, all bottles are supplied with wooden stoppers, but stainless steel pouring spouts can be purchased separately.
To take advantage of this offer, please complete an order form. The form is available at reception, online from the school website or you can email me directly (smccain@crgs.co.uk). Funds raised last year helped our students to be involved in Rampaging Chariots and LEGO League. The money also helped to set up our engineering Society and kickstarted this year’s MakerSpace, TechnoPhysics and World Robotics Olympiad challenge.
Thank you all for supporting us.
