Window and Electrical Upgrades

While our teaching and learning thrives, we firmly believe that the built environment is vital in allowing this to continue.
Over the last two years our Senior Leadership Team has been working along with education property consultants Barker Associates to apply for Condition Improvement Funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
The Condition Improvement Fund, also known as CIF, is funding set aside for schools to help fund projects to address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition.
Both our applications were successful with grants of £61,475 for windows replacement and £64,158 for electrical upgrade works sanctioned.
Old windows on our Design and Technology block were replaced with new double-glazed windows and vital electrical remedial works were carried out site wide. These works were recently completed in time for the winter months providing warm, safe and comfortable interiors for our students and staff.
This is just the beginning and part of a wider premises development plan to continue developing our teaching/learning spaces, sports and boarding facilities.
We at Colchester Royal Grammar School are committed to providing our students with the best environments for learning and development.
