CRGS team wins the ESU heat

Year 11 Public Speakers, Theo Wolf, Sam Jebakumar and Jake Martin, won the local heat of the ESU Public Speaking competition and progress to the next round in February. Sam spoke with conviction on the topic of the personal life of politicians, and Theo and Jake fulfilled the roles of chair and questioner in a confident fashion. Year 10 participant Alex Waring was given the award as the best questioner of the evening. Year 10 students Columbus Everett and Thomas Williams were representing the school for the first time in this competition and acquitted themselves very well. They will have learnt a great deal from the experience. CRGS teams have now progressed to the next stage in the BPW, Rotary and ESU competitions and will be competing for places in the regional and national finals.
