CRGS team progresses to the Regional Final

The CRGS Year 11 Public Speaking Team of Theo Wolf, Sam Jebakumar and Jake Martin won the area final of the ESU Public Speaking competition, held in the George Young Building last night, and they now progress to the Regional Finals, to be held at Magdalene College, Cambridge in March. There were six teams speaking on a variety of topics, and the judges commented on how closely contested the event was. Sam spoke forcefully and with humour on the era of the nation state and he was particularly impressive in his response to a wide range of challenging questions.
