Professor Winston visits CRGS

We were delighted to welcome one of the country's most eminent scientists, Robert Winston, to the school today. He looked in on some primary school classes taking place in the school, gave a fascinating illustrated lecture to Sixth Form scientists on 'The Beginnings of Life' and led a seminar on his 2010 book 'Bad Ideas?' with a group of Year 12 Biologists and Chemists. Professor George Constantinides arranged the visit as part of Imperial College's partnership with the school.
The Headmaster described the day as a highlight of the school year.
Professor Winston is not only a very learned scholar and a brilliant communicator; he is also a very kind and generous man. He had such an engaging manner with the students that they were enthralled by him and hung on his every word.
