CRGS Ski Champions!

CRGS was today represented by two teams in the Eastern Region Schools Ski Championships, held in Norwich this weekend.

Schools from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire were represented and CRGS was participating for the second year.  The U14 team of Bertie Thomas (Y8), Oliver Windridge (Y7) and Dom Holmes (Y7) skied well, but with a man down due to a rugby injury, were not able to get a team score and compete for a medal.

The U16 team however of Freddie Thomas (Y10), Luke Elliff (Y8), Tom Stone (Y9) and Maximus McCabe-Abel (Y9) skied with skill and determination and were crowned U16 Boys Eastern Region Schools Ski Champions.

The Headmaster comments, 'I would like to thank Ruth McCabe-Abel and the other parents involved for being the driving force behind the ski teams and guiding them to success. This is another example of CRGS students rising to a seemingly daunting challenge and coming out on top. Well done to everyone who took part.
