Some statistics of note
25 ballot papers were spoilt, one deliberately, 24 because the voter put a tick instead of a cross beside the candidate.
UKIP received the majority of their votes at lunchtime – an interesting statistic (make of this what you will!)
The result
The total number of votes given for each candidate was as follows:
- Leigh, Alfred - Alpha Party 34 votes
- Kekwick, Miles - Democrats 28 votes
- Morgan, Rufus - Conservative and Unionist Party of Great Britain 75 votes
- Clements, Max - Labour Party 46 votes
- Wright, Jack - Liberal Democrats 25 votes

Bill Anderson-Samways and his Red Green-Alliance have been duly awarded bragging rights. In the announcement this morning Bill made a gracious acceptance speech and announced his Cabinet. Commiserations to the defeated candidates who all ran an excellent campaign.
