The CRGS Intermediate Public Speaking Team of Charlie Price, Gorak Rajesh and Harry Hesketh-Paterson pulled out all the stops to win the national final of the Rotary Youth Speaks competition this weekend. They were up against teams representing the other 6 regions of Britain and came out on top with their speech on the importance of learning languages. Gorak also received a prize for the best main speaker in the competition.
The team from Wirral Grammmar School for Girls, representing the North West, came second, and the West Exe School from Exeter, representing the South-West was placed third.
The Headmaster has been entering teams in this Rotary Club competition for over 15 years and was delighted that in his last year at the school, the CRGS team was crowned national champions.
