The School beat the OCs on the penultimate ball of the 20/20 cricket match during Reunion Day at the School on Friday. The OCs, captained by Pat Geddis, posted 164 in their 20 overs. The School team edged to victory in a thrilling final over. The Rob George trophy, in memory of former CRGS captain Rob George, was presented to winning captain Matthew Davis by outgoing OC Society President, Col Richard Kemp. The School also defeated the OCs in the first ever School versus Society netball match.
The OCs held their AGM in the library in the morning, were then entertained by students from the school in the George Young Building, and later enjoyed lunch and tea, provided by Pati Humbles and her team, at the school fields. The glorious sunshine made the day a very special occasion at the Athlestan Road grounds.
