Year 9 Paris and Battlefields trip
Posted On: 15/07/16
We have naturally been following the overnight events in the south of France closely. We would like to reassure parents that we have reconsidered the itinerary in the light of events and our view about the safety of the trip has not changed. There is a heightened risk in every European capital at the moment, but security will remain high in Paris and we do not think we are putting staff or students at undue risk by visiting Paris and some of its sights. The trip is being led by experienced members of staff who will readjust our itinerary on the spot if it seems necessary. The Belgian Government have not increased their national level of alert following the incident in Nice.
For those who you with sons who are not going on the trip, please note that they should attend school in uniform as usual. We have arranged a variety of activities for them over the two days - Mr Chambers will be emailing the students later today with details of times and rooms.
