French play a great success

Last week a dozen students from Years 11-13 performed a short play in French "Les Romains arrivent a Camulodunum". Based on a French comic strip, the play was performed to pupils in the lower school in lesson time, then after school on Thursday a packed house mainly of pupils from other Colchester Schools enjoyed the first of two public performances. In the evening an audience of parents and other friends were particularly appreciative, and also enjoyed a fine buffet laid on by our catering manager. The main cast members were aided by a handful of Year 9 and 10 pupils who helped stage a mock rugby match, and we are grateful to various members of the CRGS family for help with props and costumes. Many congratulations to the cast for their efforts!
