CRGS Through to District Final of the Intermediate Youth Speaks Competition!

On Monday 23rd January, CRGS' intermediate public speaking team won the first heat of the Rotary Youth Speaks competition, which was held at Colchester Town Hall.

All three students in the team - Arzim Asmil, Toby Nee and Pranav Bhatt - worked incredibly hard and really shone whilst carrying out their respective roles as Speaker, Chairperson and Vote of Thanks. Arzim spoke about the importance of natural beauty; his speech was thoroughly enjoyed by all and many members of the audience passed on their congratulations afterwards.

Miss Baines, who coached the team to their victory, commented that 'the students were an absolute pleasure to watch and they should be exceedingly proud of themselves.'

The District Final will be held at Chelmsford City Council next week, and the team are really looking forward to taking part! We wish them all the very best of luck!
