Sci Fest This Saturday!
Posted On: 13/03/19
Sci Fest will be held at CRGS on Saturday 16th March and we invite you all to explore the exciting world of science. We have lots of exciting activities taking place at CRGS during British Science Week.
The event will include a range of workshops and activities run both by CRGS students and external providers. Activities on offer include: interactive forensics and a dissection lab, Cosmic Chemistry, Jet Propulsion Lab, planetariums, Creepy Crawly Roadshow, computing workshop, Colchester Zoo, Chemistry and Physics practical labs, codebreaking, ‘Life long ago’ (dinosaurs & palaeontology), activities delivered by University lecturers, and a STEM careers fair. It will also be an opportunity for CRGS STEM clubs, such as the Lego League, to demonstrate their hard work. Furthermore, we are very excited to announce that a real-life rocket will be joining us at Sci Fest!
This year we have included a greater number of activities to engage students at GCSE and A level, as well as Primary and KS3. Sci Fest is open to the whole community, including CRGS pupils, their families, pupils from other schools, and the general public. Entry to Sci Fest is free, although some premium events will incur a small charge in order to cover costs. Last year over 2000 people visited Sci Fest; this year we hope to welcome even more!
Limited car parking will be available via the Creffield Road entrance and in the local Colchester car parks. The CRGSA will be providing food and drink to purchase in the dining area.
